Lancaster?Discover new artists and incredible works of art when Fall ArtWalk takes over downtown Lancaster for a
spectacular weekend of art, craft, design and music on October 8 and 9.

Thousands of collectors and patrons of the arts hit the streets with friends and family in search of creativity and exciting new work by local and regional artists. Welcome to this bi?annual event which engages the senses in visions, smells, and sounds of people delighting in the abundant art community of Lancaster.

It?s all part of a fresh and vibrant art scene in Lancaster where several blocks of galleries and art associations merge together twice a year to host special events designed for the art lover. 31 downtown galleries participate in this year?s Fall ArtWalk, which continues to thrive under new leadership as a consortium of galleries and nonprofit arts organizations band together to celebrate the region?s beloved culture.

Special events include meet?and?greets with artists, live demonstrations and interactive activities from pumpkin decorating to collaborative painting! Live music echoes through the downtown area, while artists conduct lectures and display their new work. Visit http://www.lancasterartwalk.org/ for details.

Works on paper include drawing, printing, photography and 3?D sculpture that beckon from shop windows, while paintings pop from the walls in all pigments and media. Some galleries seem to scream ?Wood is Good!? displaying everything from wood ? turned sculptures, to block prints to furniture. Colorful glass works please the eye with geometric and organic shapes and patterns, while ceramic artists continue the dance with form and function. Digital and multimedia artists impress and amaze with both static and dynamic designs. View creations from artists at over thirty locations where creative Lancastrians exhibit work that further beautifies an already vibrant and artistic community.

Lancaster ArtWalk is open Saturday, October 8, from 10 am to 5 pm, & Sunday, October 9, from 12 pm to 4 pm, in downtown Lancaster.
