Are You Surfing Like A Pro On the Net?

Have you have ever been to the beach and been dumped by a huge wave, only to be washed up in the whitewash? Well that's pretty much how my online business attempt began. There I was out in the open internet sea with nothing but a shiny new surfboard (ok yes, website) that I eagerly bought from an online pro marketer.

Of course, I could've stopped right there and then, but knowing there was opportunity online, I approached things a little differently and three essential things turned me around and I went back out there again - this time, I was surfing like a pro!!

My first big wake up was, I had absolutely no idea of what I was doing and what was expected, since I figured I was a savvy business person, knew a thing or two about the internet and could figure it out once I was out there amongst the other internet surfer pros - "dahdong" how wrong could I be!

Lesson #1: Never attempt to go out without viewing the conditions of the surf; arm yourself with as much knowledge as you can about your product or service that you are in and how to target this market.

Lesson #2: Invest 'wisely' in professional help, don't be exposed to downloading 101 e-books on how to make a $1m in a day or even better, while you sleep! Work with a coach/mentor attend at least some sort of program/webinar/seminar that will give you some sense of direction and focus.

Lesson #3: Learn the art of linking back to other sites and use creating landing pages to entice your prospective customers to view your amazing products. Do not discount the power of marketing to leverage your business to achieve an internet traffic to your site!

A lot of people think and make the mistake of "if you build your online business", it will automatically be a success - sit back and watch the profit line grow... I say cruise and will no doubt see your hard earned money prosper in someone else's surf.

For many budding surfing entrepreneurs their future in online business isn't a guaranteed path to success. Far too many struggle to see their dreams become reality. They lose focus or passion and ultimately failing and this can be an very expensive business venture.

However, for those that don't choose the online business path, there are many that do and have abundant success with their own online business. Starting a successful online business ultimately takes patience, persistence and hard work. However, if you've chosen wisely, invest in some education strategy, the path to online success is fun and very rewarding - Now, these days I truly love having my online business and surfing the net is achieving excellent results even if I'm not in a big league millionaire surfer .... yet!
